Let's see...

Haikyuu - the story and the animation was gorgeous! But I might be biased, since I love everything by Production I.G :D

Tokyo Ghoul - watched it because my friends watched it. It was horrible, I don't recommend it.

Free Eternal Summer - dunno why I watched it... xD Love animation by KyoAni, I guess?

Tonari ni Kaibutsu-kun - rewached it just recently, it's my fav shoujo show ever! Haru ftw!

Zankyou no Terror - it was good until the second half. All in all nice, but pointless.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - best thing that happened the last season!!!

Strange+ - I like it but Shin Strange+ doesn't seem as good

No Game No Life

Free: Eternal Summer

If I made it to the end chances are I liked it or love it. There's a lot more anime I'm watching that I've yet to finish.

did you like it?! i loved playing the visual novel but was afraid the anime would be too different...like many visual novel/game adaptions to tv that don't quite deliver >_< (how adorbs was Noiz in it doee?)

I thought it had a great start.  The animation is okay and sometimes awesome.  I was a bit bummed that they basically did all the routes towards the end.  Like one per episode.  I was hoping that they would go a different direction and have all the characters working together.  It felt a bit jarring in that way.  I do plan to rewatch it now that I've pretty much completed the game.  When I was playing the Virus/Trip ending, I noticed things that happened in the anime that at the time I didn't understand.  Once I completely finish all the game, I'll revisit.  I still kinda want to see that rough episode with the bad animation.  (the one that was incomplete).  I started the anime late, and missed that episode when it first aired.  Might have been a good thing.

The Noize kiss was totes adorable though!

[member=21042]Kookiebish[/member] omgosh I totally fibbed, I actually did religiously watch the first 4 episodes right when they came out...but I forget if it was when I got to the 3rd or 4th epis...maybe both...were just. So. Bad. Like, literally rolling on ze floor laughing at the awful drawings. For example:

Shrunken head Aoba-chan!

and...

Need new plastic surgeon Aoba-chan

So naturally I stopped and was going to wait until they fixed it all but oops forgot x_x;;; is it worth watching? Does Noiz make it worth watching? (Haha sry for the bias if it hasn't been obvious that Noiz is my fav. XD And maybe Ren...hmmm)

Omg that's bad! I kind of wish I had seen it though, but I'm also worried that I would have stopped watching.  I recommend trying it again just to see for yourself.  In my head, I kept thinking of ways to make it better, but there are things in there that work.  I still would have loved it if it hadn't gone.....route...okay next route...and route..

I was excited when they first showed up in Glitter because I thought there would be some Noize/Koujaku bickering, but no.  They'd show Noize and Aoba going through the episode and shots of Koujaku sleeping or some crap.  I wanted the anime to breathe more.  If that makes sense.  Noize is always worth it.  I have no favorites.  They are all my favorites and I'm a dang hussy. :excited2:  Except for Mink...well...maybe.

L.O.L. :giggle: legit lolled at my phone and woke up my dog xD

yea mink was the toughest for me...and then prolly trip/virus ~>_<~ can never look at snakes and lions the same again. :worried: and poor mizuki, got shafted in the original and re:connect lol and although I like the rest, I unfortunately, consciously or subconsciously, have favorites  :love3:

And now all this talk got me excited to watch the anime

Tone that excitement down a little and you should be in a good place.  Did you watch the ova advertisement?   *shivers*  I don't  really want to see the Virus and Trip ending again.

These games and someone's recent recommendation of Ouran High School Host Club has gotten me on an anime kick. So I've watched quite a few recently from start to finish. It's rough to get sucked into a show like these I've been watching and having no one around to fangirl with. :P

The most recent was Utano Princesama.
And if it counts, I'm 3 episodes away from finishing Hiiro no Kakera (The Tamayori Princess Saga), which I'm loving.

I completed Aldnoah Zero's second season~

Ah... Uta no Prince-sama. After watching the anime version of Ouran first, I felt pretty contented by its strangeness and could never get myself to delve much into the manga.

I have such mixed feelings hearing that Hiiro no Kakera's anime is stuffed under "The Tamayori Princess Saga" because of the times in Scarlet Fate, where they officially have Shiki as "Princess Tamayori," while in the same game they also make it "Tamayorihime" to enforce a difference between characters. I just wish that they would make it consistent, or even use Japanese suffixes the entire time. Even though I played Hiiro no Kakera several years ago, my mind is slooowly trying to make me associate it more with the not-direct-translation translated Scarlet Fate. Maybe they did that with the slight possibility that the first HnK game would come out in English.

Well, I'm new to anime, so I had never seen it before.  :tongue2:

I really enjoyed Uta no Prince-sama. & I'm enjoying the Revolutions series, too.

I really would love to play the HnK game if it's made available in English. I enjoyed the anime. I did start watching it at first because it seems to be based on the same mythology/legend as Scarlet Fate and I'm enjoying that SWD game as well, but they're different enough to me to be interesting each in their own way.

Revolutions? what series is that?
Title: Re: Last Anime You Watched From The Start To End?
Post by: Aiwethryne on June 16, 2015, 02:35:26 PM
Mm... Scarlet Fate is the fourth game in the Hiiro no Kakera franchise, hence why the app description says it is originally Hiiro no Kakera 4, Shirahana no Ori set in the Heian period. The first three HnK games are set in modern day. Descendant. Blah blah blah. Of course you would see the crossover.

Oh, I also finished watching Death Parade a while back. Short series~ Sure helps to keep myself not waiting forever.

Revolutions? what series is that?
Uta no Princesama Revolutions -- It looks like it's a currently running series. On Hulu, they just added a new episode last week. None this week, so I'm hoping it's every 2 weeks.

I didn't realize that about Scarlet Fate, Aiwethryne. Thanks ^_^

It is less confusing to call UtaPri's Maji Love Revolutions the third season because most people associate a "series" in the context of anime as a completely different franchise.

Because I want to toss stuff out.

Aiwei's right. When you talked about Revolutions series...I thought it's a whole different anime

Last anime I watched is Brother Conflicts, Princess Lover and Love Stage...
I only watched UtaPri 1000% and 2000% on tv but skip some of them
Should re-watched them again

It's so frustrating how many of these series get one season and then are done. I want more!

Pretty much all I'm doing these days is watching various anime and keeping up on the games. >.> So I'll probably be posting here a lot.

Finished Maid Sama this morning. This one, I thoroughly enjoyed since the heroine, Misaki, wasn't a complete dunce. ^_^ She was stubborn and that made it interesting.

I haven't watched much of the animes but ive read all of these lol.

I liked maid sama but Misaki annoyed me a bit she was def a better protag than most shoujos. Usui tho...mmpf he is special.

Ive read all of KnB but i couldnt bring myself to watch the anime...

BroCon anime bored me sooooooo much. I wanted more Iori but he had so very few scenes which made me sad. I cant wait for Brilliant Blue to be translated!

I watch UtaPri like half an episode at a time b/c it makes me cringe at times.
10xRevolutions said is creepy

Finished Owari no Seraph season 1. Ready for the next one. >:3
I thought I shipped GurenYuu but in comes Shinya and omfg it's my fav. >/////< *feels intensifies* So Shinya with Guren it is. I was going to drop it if they offed Guren. He's the best precisely because of his jerk-ass attitude. Yuu really is too kind. (Screw you, Ferid, die already.)

The last anime that I watched was Yu Yu Hakusho. It's an old anime series which I have wanted to watch for like...ever xD.

It wasn't that long...well comparing it to some big names like Detective Conan or One Piece that is....

Yu Yu Hakusho is great. I've watched it at least 3 times and listened to the songs many times.

Finished Grisaia no Rakuen. First true harem end I've seen. Usually the guy(or girl) either chooses one(all along) or chooses none. Yuuji chose everyone. :'D (too bad he and J.B. weren't meant to be) Hope to get all the games once they're all translated.

I have the really bad habit to leave a lot of stuff on hiatus for several purpose
- not enough time to watch the whole stuff in a row, so I need to re-watch from the start: that what happened with Hakuouki
- I like the show so much that I don't want to reach the end to early ( Psycho pass for instance.; and I'll have also to watch from the start.)
- too long with too much filler pisodes and I lost interest ( lots of anime)

The last  2 I could watch entirely were these days were not long enough to tire me and good enough to convince me watching till the end but not good enough to make me postpone the end:

Binan Kôkô Bôei bu love:  a parody of magical girls show.... with guys. Just imagine a crossover between power rangers and.. let's say Tôkyô mew mew. That's it: It's nonsensic, and points out the clichés of magical girls in quite a funny way. With some innuendo and a shonen aï vibe, but nothing really that disturbing.
Bonus points for the most nonsensic battles name ever ( the poor guy whose battle name is " épinard" .. yes thats "spinach" in my language) and the least impressive attack names ( tornado-whatever!!)

-Orenchi no furo Jijo: a really short show ( 13 episode, 4 minutes each) about a student who found a dying merMAN, and brought him at home. The fish-guy now is living in the student's bathtub, and is quite a parasite. And He invites friends too: a squidman, a sea snail, a medusa..
The whole concept is really WTF, but it ended to be funnier than expected (and, once again, shonen ai innuendo is to be heard) And I've found myself hoping for a second season.
Bonus points for the shy see snail who is voiced by the same person as Kazama in Hakuouki. The snail is about 8 cms in height and speaks with deep demon's voice: ROFL..
(the other are voiced by some of the cast of free! and I find this hilarious considering they're all aquatics creatures crammed into a small bathtub)

Both anime are recent, and can be seen on crunchyroll

Two of the last anime shows I have watched are:

Nagi no Asukara: OH G IT IS DEFINITELY WORTH WATCHING, it starts off a bit slow but the second half, ugh I just cannot help myself from crying ;_; It's central theme is about how we want things to stay as it is but it won't really happen. The thing about this anime is that it messes up your OTPs haha. The soundtrack is good too :)))

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso: HUHUHU it almost took me a month to recover from this. I also watched it during april so it adds to the feels, you will learn a lot about the importance of living your life to the fullest to this. EVERY DAMN EPISODE BROUGHT ME TEARS, ESPECIALLY THE LAST EP Spoiler alert:

Alnoah Zero is the last one I watched from start to finish, and before that was a rewatch of Mirai Nikki (my third time watching, haha). I'm watching several animes right now, but all of them are ongoing from the Summer 2015 lineup.

*hi-fives* Aldnoah Zero~~~ I suddenly connected it when I read that the character designer was the mangaka of that manga with the thing and the title... *very descriptive*

I finished watching Sidonia no Kishi season two~ I liked the first season's opening and ending songs more.

Finally finished Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? AKA Danmachi. Bell-kun! :P
The last episode was really rushed. I felt like it had a lot of potential and not enough episodes.
Gosh the last fight was a lot like SAO.

GG Matsuoka. I like his voice.

Hestia best girl :)

Just finished Brothers Conflict in one go yesterday. Haha, it was a lot better than I thought it would be. Probably because Amnesia and Diabolik Lovers anime had a pretty bad adaption...

But I really enjoyed it! (Now all I need to do is go find myself the game....)
Title: Re: Last Anime You Watched From The Start To End?

And Three titles to add:

Yamishibai ( horror): a short (5 minutes each episode) series about horor and mysterious stories, involving ghosts, yokai etc.. The whole concept is an adaptation of the kamishibai - paper theatre ( old japanese paper show played on the streets), but this is yamishibai horror/darkness theatre. The animation is very special, like animated cutted paper. I loved his a lot.

Diabolik lovers : I just saw goodies about this while travelling to Japan 2 or 3 years ago, not knowing it was originally an otogame. I've seen the whole thing and it was really disappointing, maybe my major disappointment on the last 10 years. I expected better, but  it wasn't worth my time. To much of WTF, and the least interesting heroine possible.

at the opposite; during the same trip, I've seen in a gamer's shop the anouncement for Kamigami no Asobi, and had such a frank laugh that I had to run  to the bathroom to hide my hilarity. I totally mistook Balder for the yuri option, and though it was great to have such a lovely girl to romance.. and...
Well I expected the TV show to be quite dull ( I gave it a try just after dialover), and was suprised in the good way: it's funny, it plays with the shojo codes in a pleasant way, starts funny and takes a darkest turn in the latter episode. A Very good surprise, cute, funny, not to serious, and heroine actuallly has a brain and uses it.
( and I'm total fan of Hades, I kind of like his clothing, he likes astronomy and just imagine the god of deads to be extatic over strawberries cakes. that's it. Plus he's voiced by Daisuke Ono, and this would be sufficient enough to win me over)
And Loki's god form is "badass yummy"

Gangsta

Totally dig the opening, it's great. The full English cover sung by Aruvn from TYERecords is even better.

What sucked was episode 12. It ended on a major cliffhanger. And now Manglobe is bankrupt and there probably won't be second season. The anime pretty much went downhill once the hunters showed up.
What a clusterfuck that was. The non ending was a giant cocktease.

I enjoyed the voice cast. It was a pleasure to listen to.

I plan to continue the manga, but I'll wait a bit for more.
