These rules only apply to this forum and are subject to change if deemed necessary. For additional site information, please refer to the forum FAQ. Remember, this forum relies on the community, but try not to annoy the management.

General Posting

1) Only the forum administrator and the moderators can create topics in the Otome Game News section. If you have game news and/or links, please post the information in the Game Discussions section. You may also post the news in the chatbox, although it may get flooded by comments before anyone notices.

2) You can post wherever you want if you have comments, questions, or concerns, but perhaps create your own topic if you are not sure where to post. They can always be moved or merged with existing threads.

3) Do not double-post (multiple consecutive posts in a row). Self-edit your post through Modify, or by clicking the icon at the bottom-right of your post. This forum will not automatically merge your posts if you were the last poster because the function conflicts with the ability to have auto-saved drafts. The exception is that you may post again after a week of no following replies.

If you are posting something simple and extremely short (such as writing the word "Updated" or advertising your game codes), you do not need to keep stacking more posts that say it. Either delete your previous post and restate that in a new post, or edit your last post. If your post is the last post in that thread, the forum will regard it as "New," even though it will not be shown in any recent posts notification section.

4) Do not to revive year-old introduction threads (necroing). You may post in discussion and walkthrough threads at any time, but we advise creating new discussion topics if the original thread is a year old.

5) If you have otome game questions that may require long answers, please do not ask them in Cafe Chat. Instead, use a related existing topic, or create a new topic with your question. You may still ask in Cafe Chat, but, if you are not there to read the answer when it is mentioned (which can drastically vary in time), the chatbox may become flooded with comments. Know that if you have a question, multiple members and non-members may have the same question, and it is easier for others to find records of the answers not posted in the chatbox.

Content and Warnings

1) Do not link to pirating sites.

2) Use BOTH Hide Tags and Spoiler Tags around anything you think is mature (Rated 18+). The moderators will remove it if necessary. Since the chatbox does not have these functions, try to remain classy there.

3) Do not post the same exact question or comment in multiple threads. At least take the effort to vary your words because some people may consider them as spam.

4) You can use any image as your forum avatar and include anything in your forum signature, as long as they are not overtly mature and do not give people seizures.

5) If you do anything wrong, you may get a light reminder in a location that you will hopefully read (PM, Cafe Chat, reply, etc.). If you are a repeat offender and fail to notice any message sent to you, you may be temporarily banned to get your attention. As long as you understand in the end, there will be no issue.

Walkthroughs

1) Any member can create walkthrough topics, and you are not required to follow the exact default walkthrough template. Preferably, you already have some answers to contribute yourself, or you are actively playing the game when you create the topic and can update the walkthrough with at least some content relatively soon. Moderators will open walkthrough topics if there are people who have answers.

2) Only post walkthroughs in either the Walkthroughs and Tips section, or the Event Help section. You can post event walkthrough answers in a game's Main Story Walkthrough, but be sure to check if a separate Event Walkthrough was created prior to your post. Walkthroughs posted in any other section will be moved to the correct location. If there are duplicate walkthrough threads, the extra walkthroughs will be merged with the oldest topic.

3) You are not required to keep updating a main post forever. If you can no longer manage a walkthrough or cannot update for a length of time, you can ask a moderator to change the Topic Author to another member who is willing to update. Moderators can edit the main post either way, so there is not much point in changing the Topic Author to one of us. However, if you do disappear for months, we may assume you will not return and decide to change the author for current and future updates.

4) Hide Tags must be placed around walkthrough answers. It helps us recognize that they are answers.

5) Please use Spoiler Tags around story spoilers. We advise containing long paragraphs of text and large images within Spoiler Tags.

6) You are allowed to have conversations about the game in the walkthrough thread, but consider creating a new discussion topic or posting in an existing discussion topic. Sometimes the main post is not updated, so it helps other players check replies in the walkthrough thread more quickly without the additional commentary.

7) If you intend to edit your previous replies containing answers, please make a new reply in the thread with exactly what you had altered or included. We may never notice that you had had made significant changes to your previous post otherwise, and it is a hassle for us to go back several pages in order to check.

8) You can E-mail or PM (private message) any of the moderators if you have a contribution. However, please do not E-mail or PM a moderator with that information if she asks that you do not because moderators are not always available to receive or record the information in a timely manner.

9) While you are thanked for the good intention, please do not post walkthrough answers in Cafe Chat for reasons earlier expressed.
