The Guys:
Game Play:In this game the player helps run a restaurant near an entertainment company. The player levels up and unlocks certain items and dishes by completing quests and making various dishes to serve to customers. When a customer eats a dish the player makes in game currency (Rich). The player can use the Rich or Jewels (in game currency that costs real money) to furnish the restaurant. Occasionally male celebrities will visit the restaurant which can potentially trigger events in game. When five events have occurred, skinship mode (like in the Nintendo DS versions) can be triggered.
Personal Review:Review-Pros: FREE, Wonderful artwork, Music, Voiced (Partly)
Cons: Huge game (30+ MB), Repetitive, Addicting
I absolutely love the Tokimeki game series. When I saw that this came out for iOS and Android devices I just HAD to get it. The characters are wonderful, the music sound a little familiar perhaps from old Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side (TMGS) games but that wasn't a big deal since I always loved the series' soundtrack. The game itself is partly voiced but the prologue is fully voiced. The art itself is on par with past TMGS games and Konami seems to have incorporated the animated fluid movement of the characters from the PSP version of TGMS3 so that the characters look more realistic. It's a really cool effect if you haven't seen it before (See the PV below for an example)!
The only real downsides of the game, which aren't really even downsides is that the game is pretty big. Just the game itself is 30+ MB and after you download and install it there's at least a 7 MB upgrade depending on which platform you use. The game started up rather slowly on my iPod but it wasn't to the point that I got too frustrated. It did work perfectly for my Galaxy S III. The other downside to the game is that the restaurant portion of the game is rather repetitive~ cook, make money, furnish, complete quests and repeat. What keeps you playing is the unlocking of all the events with the guys and I spent a good 4 hours today doing just that... still no where close to being done though.
Overall this is a rather unique game that really sets itself apart from the other mobile otome games I have seen out right now. Even though it doesn't measure up to the DS games but this is a great game nonetheless. I'm very impressed.
