Too much otome but not enough money? Or have money but feel guilty about spending it on free otome games?
Here are some resources to help you make a couple extra bucks to put towards your otome addiction! Reddit has /beermoney but here at the cafe we need
/otomoney~If you know of others, feel free to add with website/app links and clear details.
Referral links/codes are okay to share but please post a normal link as well. Here is some information that would be helpful for others to know to help decide if they should try it for themselves:
- Is it United States only or International?
- What payout options are there? (Google Play/iTunes, Paypal, Giftcards, etc)
- Platform? (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Offline?)
- Is it passive or do you have to complete a task for payment?
- What kind of payout should a casual user expect? What do you average and what kind of effort do you put into it?
- What's the 'catch?' Any privacy concerns?
- Any tips or instructions?
Here are the otomoney sources I can vouch for, from highest to lowest paying:
Focus GroupsMarket Research Studies will recruit and pay for the opinions of a client's target audience. They have the potential for high payout (~$10-$50 online studies, ~$100-$400 offline,) but may also be time consuming and require advance scheduling and free time for in-person studies. If you participate in a study, you will also have to wait a period of time before being qualified for another. (This varies, sometimes they only require that you haven't recently participated in a study of the same topic. "Each client company makes their own choice regarding past participation; some stipulate 3 months or 6 months, and others request a year between studies. Studies that are online-only do not count toward your past participation.")
Mobile/App OptionsNote I often use the term "brick phone" this refers to an older smartphone I don't care about, which does not have a SIM card and uses wifi only. It is wiped of texts and contacts and I don't care what personal data gets accessed since there isn't much there. Unless I'm using it for playing my Voltage side account, this phone is just sitting around like a brick doing nothing - though now making me a little cash while doing so.
In my case this happens to be my previous android, but you can also go out and buy a device solely for this purpose - I found big box stores (Walmart, etc) selling contract-free (no phone service unless added extra) phones for about $35.Other options and further resources (not reviewed):
