Title: Samurai Love Ballad: PARTY Discussion
Post by: Sakuragawa on February 13, 2016, 04:42:37 AM
 :ummm: Discuss away.

So far Mitsu has been a disappointment. Want more Nobu

Oichi is sweet here, I like her.

Lol nobu's route is getting a little steamy. Also, really enjoying yukimura's route. He's so cute!

Are the stories the same as the paid version of the game? Wondering if I need to get sucked up into this or not. xD

I'm enjoying this game so far. (not gonna lie, Jean Pierre from BMP making an appearance is my favorite part xD) Somehow I've ended up on Saizo's route. Leave it to me to end up dating a ninja in a game that's supposed to be for samurai =P

Isn't it you can choose between Yukimura and Saizo before deliberately go to one of them? No matter what your chemistry first

Post by: Washu_Takahashi on February 16, 2016, 03:25:45 PM
Yeah, it gave me the option to choose, but my answers had literally been 100% Saizo unintentionally xD So I went with him. Seems more more type than Yukimura anyways (he reminds me a lot of Benkai from Destiny Ninja)

If anyone wants to add me my ID is 2164133

The game is really good so far! I didn't expect it when I first started, as normally I'm not into historical games. The similar art style to BMP is a plus ^_^
But I still haven't received the background in my mailbox :(

I'm going for Yukimura, that guy is so damn cute haha. I'm having a hard time resisting Saizo's charm as well :3 Originally I wanted Masamune (I'd date anyone with that name or that sword lol). I'll patiently wait for him then :'3

Anw my ID is 2190055 if anyone wants to be allies x)

Lyssa - I accepted your request :3

This game is pretty enjoyable so far. Interested to see where the plot goes and how different it'll be when I select different pairs.

only three chapter left before ending...but I guess there's no deeper development in terms of story itself..hmm...
anyway...I enjoy Yukimura's story a lot  :tongue2:
he's unbearably cute....yet strong...
now..where can I find a man like that...lol..

Nobu here is a bit too delicate for my liking. I'd thought he'd be more authoritative and impressive. Instead, everyone idolizes Mitsu. tsk

I can't help comparing the game's story to other Sengoku period stories.

Glad I didn't start with him then. My view of Nobunaga is pretty solidified from playing him in Ninja Love+. Was expecting a strong, cocky bastard. I also keep expecting Mitsu to be a spineless wimp (not sure if I'm remembering that from Ninja Love or something else...) and that doesn't seem to be the case.

So I quit Saizo's route and started Masamune xD He seems more interesting anyways, but I'm really doing it for the blonde hair, haha. I'll go back and play Saizo eventually.

Just finished Nobunaga and Yukimura's route, working on Masamune ans Kojuro's now =D So far Yukimura's has been my favorite

Masamune!! I quit Nobunaga as soon as his route open lol
but I guess I used my love pass too much so I won't get another prize for doing his

Anyway...they really are releasing many lottery and stories now...paid one of course (and here I hope we can get the first event ;p)

Pfft. Historical games (both otoge and not) often make me feel awkward because there are just SO MANY for the same setting. One character might behave completely different across the board. I also find it jarring how different each interpretation would look like due to creative liberties, and then you see person from real life and all your fantasies are crushed. Past exposures makes it hard not to compare, and this is Voltage. How well is PARTY doing on the story front? Emotional? Informative? Blush-worthy?
Title: Re: Samurai Love Ballad: PARTY Discussion
Post by: kokoro-cafe on March 08, 2016, 06:53:01 PM
I think the repetitive setting is because the writers are more familiar with their own history and feel more comfortable writing about it. To do historical stories there needs to be a lot of background knowledge before writing which means a ton of research is involved even if you end up taking a lot of liberties with the characters, you still need to get your major events right. That said, as much as I love historical games, I really wish they would come up with some different historical games in a setting and with characters I haven't seen a million times already. After a while I start comparing the characters and it kind of ruins all of the stories and as Aiwethryne says, when you look up the actual person your image of the person is shattered. XD

What do you guys think of Masamune right now? He kind of reminds me of Ren from MFW.

I haven't really gotten deep enough in to judge it yet. In Saizo's route, I only got far enough where the actual story was starting to pick up, so didn't get to enjoy it much. And for Masamune...I convinced the dummy I'm female MCs twin brother. I can't tell yet if he's really that dumb, or playing along for my sake. Been enjoying the route so far though.

Lol personally I think he knows she's a girl and just hasn't said anything yet. There were definitely times I've had my suspicions that he knows.

Lol personally I think he knows she's a girl and just hasn't said anything yet. There were definitely times I've had my suspicions that he knows.
I'm ASSUMING he knows, especially with the whole scene between him and Kojuro

Where Kojuro was like "Ummm...dude?" and Masa was like "Nope. Ignoring it." and then Kojuro flat out asks if I'm a woman =P I could somehow see Masa not knowing, but I'm dead certain Kojuro knows and is playing along for his Lord.

EDIT: One chapter later confirms Kojuro knew since the attack in town, but supposedly Masa doesn't =P

Yeah I remember that scene lol I can't imagine Masamune not being very smart though XD
Title: Re: Samurai Love Ballad: PARTY Discussion

Masa can be unbelievably dense in this case...apparently  :tongue2:
Almost finish with his story...sigh....I know I should held back and doing any route halfway so I can add more allies (like I did at BMPP) but somehow I'm too curious with their stories so I need to read an end right away...
And since we don't get any event yet, it's so much easy to accumulate skill points needed for divine ending

About the eyepatch -

I LOVED that the eyepatch wasn't a set-up for an angsty backstory! (Well, at least not the typical angsty backstory) I was expecting a nasty cut or whatnot got in battle. The discolored eye was a refreshing change. Though when it got to the "why does you mom hate you?" it was obvious before they flat out stated it that it was because of his eye. Poor baby. Mizuki (Destiny Ninja) and Ran (DN2 all over again.

EDIT: So Masamune really is that dumb, but like...WHY. WHY DO I HAVE TO BE FOUND OUT IN THAT WAY?! I was cringing through the whole chapter...poor me xD It was so relatable since I get that bad too lol. I like it better when otome ignore that part of the female life cycle, lmao!

I haven't read the story in about a week. I guess I don't find Kojuro that interesting. I mean it's not hard to read once I've started but starting again is hard. My least opened app rn out of all the ones I'm playing.

So far, I've done Yukimura's route then Masamune and recently finished Mitsuhide. Going to Hideyoshi now but Toshiie did intrigue me in the first two prologue chapters. It feels like it will be all fun with Toshiie but I also think Hide is kind of charming too. They might be my favorite routes duo (because I instantly like the two?).

When first entered Yuki-Saizo, I got more chemistry with Yuki, so I chose him. Although my answers sided with Saizo more :p but as I near finished Yuki's route, it felt like I already slowly built up a chemistry with Saizo too. So I won't dread it much if I'll go back to Takeda Clan duo to finish Saizo's route.

But then Masamune-Kojuro's route was released, and since I'm onto new route/clan, I finally chose Masamune. Just so. I agree with [member=3652]Washu_Takahashi[/member] with the eye thing. The truth behind it was refreshing. I kinda didn't see that one coming xD

After finishing Masamune, I planned to go to Nobu's but chose Mitsuhide's instead because I found maybe there's more behind  his 'coolness'. Beside, his castle items theme is so cute<33 haha. Nonetheless, in the middle of his MS I sort of fell in love with Lord Nagamasa instead LMAO. Well, not really. But he has his charm lol.
too bad he has married Lady Oichi.

And now here I am, in the beginning of Toshiie-Hide prologue chapter, torn between the two. At least, both noble ends have such lovely hairdo prizes XDD

Oh, perhaps I haven't mentioned it yet but I STILL LIKE YUKIMURA THE MOST<33 [member=20863]Arisa-chan[/member] [member=2]kokoro-cafe[/member] dibs for the heart form made from sakura cushion with me and Yukimura inside of it in the castle lol XDD

P.S: My ID is 2162716

I found that Toshiie route pretty steamy...at least much more steamy than Yukimura and Masamune  :tongue2:
Wild dog indeed...
I might be interested buying mission with pearl for that certain steamy pic.... :icecream: :icecream: the 2nd time I did his route ohohohoho....
BUT Yukimura still my fave of course...

the least fave maybe Nobunaga x Mitsuhide route...cause I already gave them up twice halfway to do Masamune...and now Toshiie...
honestly...their stories are less intriguing than others

now I'm waiting Mitsunari...I just can't wait he barks Toshiie often because of Hideyoshi...

I'm getting REAL sick of being discovered because I'm on my period xD Curse you female anatomy!

I just finished Toshiee/Hideyoshi's "prologue" and can't decide who I want @.@ I like Toshie's hot-headedness, but I like Hideyoshi playing him like a fiddle, haha. Ugh, so hard to pick >< Probably going to go with Hideyoshi. I'm glad he's not the air-headed happy-go-lucky character I assumed he was.

Hideyoshi is like Roberto+Zain.....in the same body
He's always cheerful like Ieyasu but without wicked intention...
Toshiie's more like Kevin

I imagine it might be difficult to hide menstruation for long around a bunch of guys. They'd probably suspect something after a few months when MC shows signs of femininity on a regular basis. At least in Masamune's route
it wasn't directly due to her period.
I wonder how common of a trope it's going to be.

Speaking of Ieyasu, I wonder how his story is going to play out, i.e. how he's going to become a guy MC can fall in love with. He's a major S for sure, but more than that, he's got a twisted personality. @.@

I was wondering if you are able to see a divine ending more than once? I've completed the one for masamune but I'd like to go through it again. Is that possible?

if they do the same thing with their previous party, YES, we can do divine ending more and more.
But...it could be different ;p
Do tell us if you managed to do one

Thanks for confirming, @Styl (http://kokoro-cafe.net/index.php?action=profile;u=27518)! What about the prizes?

For future reference, you can use (spoiler)SPOILER HERE(/spoiler) with square brackets instead of parentheses to hide spoilers.

It's been a while since I've read Kenshin's Divine Destiny ending, but I think he knew all along. He was probably waiting for the girl to realize it too, and the kiss was confirmation of that.

Oh I see! Thanks for the tip. In terms of prizes for the second time run through, I am not sure since I am not finished doing a second time. I found out you can do a divine ending more than once by emailing voltage Inc lol. I'm going to assume if you do not have the prize previously received it n your closet (like you've deleted it), you can receive it again.

Guys help me pick my next character :) I've done the divine endings of masamune, saizo, yukimara, nobunaga kenshin, shingen... is there anyone else you guys would recommend? Or should i go back to do the noble endings of those guys? None of the other characters caught my attention. maybe hideyoshi or kojuro. what do you guys think?

I leave Kojuro for the last pick...and I was very satisfied with his story
Soo...goood...he's very straight forward yet endearing....kinky, too...lol..

Toshie's story is at the sexy side and he's a bit rough, too
while Hide...well...this guy is a wolf in clothing sheep. Veeerry sneaky....but cute..

Yep you can get the same prize more than once if you complete the same divine ending again :)
So if I accidentally delete my Divine Ending prize, it's good to know there's a way to get it back. Theoretically speaking, of course. xD

Somehow Kojuro ended up being my last (unique) route as well. I'm liking it so far, although I'm not very deep into it. After this, I can return to doing Noble ends, yay! That is, if Voltage doesn't release any new routes...

Toshiie/Hideyoshi is my least favorite pair, to be honest, but feel free to form your own opinions! It's strange because I usually like the childhood friend route, but in this case, I think my dislike for love triangles overrode it.
