My favorite currently dateable character is Ren. Even though I am not usually a glasses stalker, he just looks so much yummier that way. But I am more interested in his nasty character and seeing him soften up. Got a little more feels for him after Ichiro Sakaki went all
huggy towards the MC before the zombies took over the cabin area.
After him, like I have once stated, I have a crush on Ichiro's polkadotted pants~~ I simply don't like the blonde kid, but he's likely to get his own route. His competitiveness in Ryo's route and freakout in Ren's were put-offs.

I am SO into guys with glasses so I should be all over Ren but for some reason I'm drawn to Ryo.. he just seems like a sexy bodyguard type, and those black gloves, oof!
The hardest part in these games is having to choose one guy!
Edit: Also need to say that OMG there is literally a guy named Shota, I can't get over it. Every time he is in the scene I lose it. I hope he gets his own route! Then again I like him being all cute and jealous >:3

Kinda funny that the MC never being kissed before seems more unrealistic to me than the zombies, haha
Also I laughed out loud when the first zombie sprite appeared. Especially since it was the zombification of a throw-away character that hadn't gotten a sprite earlier. I think.. it might have worked better if they left it up to your imagination and never actually showed the zombies on screen.

I'm really in love with this game. I think it's because it's a nice change from all the 'Princess' stuff.
At first I was totally going to go for the guy with the green hair in the icon of the game, but I was sad to see he wasn't an option. So I picked Lionel, only to realise later that he IS the guy in the icon. :giggle:
I played through this game really fast for my doing, I used every supplement as soon as I got it, and I'm a real hoarder of items and money usually.
So yeah, finished Lionel's route and now I started Ryo's route. Ren is not very appealing to me, but we'll see once I play his route. A lot of the time my first choice of characters don't remain my favorite after playing some others so we'll see if Lionel remains at the top of my list :P

Oh, Shota was his name. He was the annoying character that I thought was blonde. Dirty blonde hair to mustard brown, I suppose. He is infuuuuriating in Ren's route~~ I can tolerate him in the others, but, meh. I prefer not-him. Since he has a sprite, he is likely to get his own route. The release of the free versions seem to be the indicator of new routes in SWD.

Lionel's hair was tinted green on the ends of the app icon. Lionel looks hot (like dayaam) but the MC annoyed me to no end in his route.
Though not totally into Ren's looks, his route and Ryo's appeals to me more. I'd have to agree that Shota can get annoying in Ryo's route :Y I like how he looks though OvOb he's the neighborhood friend chara type though. If they don't make him totally clingy and wimpy--I think I'd like his route should it ever come out.

No xD It's just some weird lighting on the CG, but since I hadn't seen any CGs at the time and didn't know it was just the lighting, I was looking for someone with green/blue hair xD
I really love Lionel in game, the Cgs I'm a bit less enthousiastic about. I didn't think the MC was annoying per se, the only thing that really irked me was how she was acting as if Keas was her best friend in the world at the end even though he killed (or assisted in the killing of) all these people and your REAL good friend <.< I'm like, girl what is wrong with you?

For me, it was her "Kyaa! Don't look you perv!" ..."aw you don't see me as a woman" on loop that irked me. Treating Lionel like a perv 24/7 until the end while self-pitying herself just bugs me. If she did it once or twice--no biggy.
though I'd have to say Lionel's confession was a bit anticlimactic for me. He acted cold or the most part and then he just more or less went "oh. I tried really hard to control myself". I actually don't know what set him off to like the MC despite his "the more beautiful something is..." Speech. It seemed like he didn't want to associate with beautiful objects because he could be wrong about them. Or something. Can't remember the rest of the dialogue. Given he is a soldier--his discipline is pretty great, so that was well done--though, I'd personally like to see him have moments where he loses his composure, but quickly recovers without the MC noticing (but the player can.
that doesn't mean I don't love him though :3 He's still my #1. It's just Ren/Ryo's route have a more tolerable MC and reasonable event flags that led to the we-fell-for-each-other plot.
As for Keas--I knew he was suspicious. I won't forget what he did to her BEST friend/civilians---and won't forgive the ACT...but I can forgive him as a person; because he tried to change and offer antibodies to right his wrongs. Even risked his life to protect her. The chairman guy is twisted though. I think the MC could have toned it down with Keas though. Instead of wholehearted defending him--I think she should have hesitated a bit more & have conflicts with defending him instead of automatically saying "but he can't be bad!" after being helped only once. Normally, people would be confused/distraught for much longer than she has.

Oh yeah I see what you mean. It didn't really bother me that much, I guess I expect those kind of reactions in these games already and tend to just ignore them or something. But I do remember the 'You don't see me as a woman' loop xD
I agree about Keas, it's not that I don't like him, or his role in the game. I just think that the MC's reactions and feelings toward him could've been handled way better, At least in Lionel's route, I don't know about the others yet.

Right! At the beginning of the game, I think before you choose your guy, he coerces you to come to his van with those 3 other guys "for some shopping" and I was like yeah right I know where this is going! But then we really DID just all pile in the car and go shopping. LOL
And you're right he is so the type that wants to watch, hahaha

and Keas would be the aunt. I suspect that he might be a bad guy though. He's suspicious. He handled that pistol too well for a beginner. His knowledge of viruses is dubious as well.

Anyway back to the game at hand.. Ryo's hair also totally changes direction when he pulls out his gun. I was like, wut.
So I wouldn't be surprised if that also happens to the other guys on their routes.
OH and anyone else notice how sometimes the guys get stupid squinty faces and they just look..ridiculous? Haha.

I was actually going to mention yesterday how I thought that Lionel just looked stupid when his face does that, but I held back. THE LEER OF DEATH. But I think that Ryo's hair is meant to look like it's flying around in action, even if it looks kind of odd since it does not move~ ...Ultimate hairspray.

Ryo totally does the dumb squint in his route too! I just couldn't find a picture online. I think I also saw Ren or Shota do it as well. I can't take anyone seriously when they pull that face. I think it's supposed to be glaring or narrowing their eyes during a serious conversation, but it's drawn so squinty it just makes them look stoned instead. LOL

I agree, when I saw sprite of Lionel's glare, I just had to slightly slap myself so I wouldn't laugh too loudly, lol. THIS FACE.
I'm getting annoyed with Ren, 'cause of his personality in the beginning, but I know I'll end up liking him anyway XD When I see those characters, my reactions are like this:
1. (right in the beginning) GOD I hate you sooo much! =-=
2. (middle) Hm... getting better...
3. (in the end) I love youu~!
I want Shota's route TT^TT And I'm definetely looking forward to Ichiro's route, it could be interesting.

Man things are moving fast with Ryo. Apparently I'm already in love with him? Crush maybe, but come on I barely know him and I feel like we just met!

was cleared up he's all amped up with the relief of being alive and starts making out with me and Lionel and Ren are like 'uhhhh we're still here'

This is the first time I ended up disliking the first route I picked in a game. I ended up not liking Ryo at all, he suddenly became way too much too soon and I hated his dopey mushy happy face UGH. I didn't even try to get the best ending, I just wanted it to be over haha. Then I picked Ren. Liked him so much better! Even if he could be a total jerk.
Also I've noticed now that this game is doing this thing on each route I guess where it makes me really like a side character, then gets rid of them and I'm all Nooooo! Because I ended up liking the side character way more than the guy I was supposed to be dating.
I loved Shota on Ryo's route, and hated him on Ren's route. Ichiro/Mr. Polkadot Pants his route came out when I was still on Ryo and I was like meh not interested. Then while on Ren's route I suddenly really liked Ichiro like whoa. And now I'm kicking myself for not jumping on the Ichiro bandwagon during his campaign event! And once I do start his route, then probably Shota's campaign event will come out and I'll be like ardsfjkd because I don't like going back and forth between routes at the same time, especially in a game that doesn't let you re-read your chapters (for free.)
Shota also reminds me a little of that one guy from RE: Alistair, but I think that's because of the headphones.
Random thought: With pants like those, I bet Ichiro has some pretty fun boxers. x3

I already forgot headphone guy's name in Allistair++, or whatever the title was. Shiro...? Well, I remember he was apparently the most popular character in the game because of his alternate existence as a magical girl. *coughcough* But, yes. I thought the same with the headphones.
In Mononoke Kiss's Lost Island crossover spinoff, Shota's headphones were such a big deal. =w= But they were earbuds according to the description, rather than the more expensive headphones. The spinoffs were amusing. The way the MC misinterpreted Ryuzaburo and Shota's... position made me chuckle a lot. Too bad I can't screenshot anything in MK since I'm jumping between several Android devices just to play.
I really hated Ren in the MK spinoff. Too... know-it-all and trying to be chivalrous. Prefer him as the ass. And Ryo. I actually considered drawing fanart of Ryo dressed in leaves. 8^D *gets knocked off a cliff* I finished Ryo's spinoff in the actual LI app, and he's just so... a hot mess of a cook. He tried too much, making him too unnatural for reality. Like those stereotypes that those silly writers think are attractive to women.

Getting back into the free games. Dang it! I'm liking the Shall we Dates right now though. Just got Magic Sword.

I definitely recommend hoarding. I seem to hoard more on Lost Island, maybe because I take longer breathers between routes since I'm not super into the guys. Still need to try Ichiro/Mr. Party Pants but I'm waiting until I have more free time so I can enjoy him. So in the meanwhile, lots of hoarding! Which means I pretty much breeze through checkpoints and always have enough currency to buy what I need. Meanwhile in Angel or Devil I am alwayssss struggling because I find it harder to save when I want to spend time with those guys RIGHT MEOW
Sadly friends are pretty much useless in SWD games. You aren't able to help friends in any way for anything at all which really makes it feel one sided and not much camaraderie. Maybe they will change that someday or for one of their new games in the future, I can only hope.

I doubt they'll really change the friends aspect, when they did not follow the Destiny Ninja friend help system. Though you can bring high level friends to battle in Niflheim and win easily.
I am also not *that* interested in the characters. They're nicely drawn and all, but zombies are not really my thing, which is why I was willing to not start this game the week of its release. Already at 86K+ game money and didn't even use any last event because it gave no points for spinning.

Please oh PLEASE make a route for Keas. He's so dreamy. I always fall for the blond guys. Well, aside from Shota which will be out soon he is the only canon left to make a route for. So please give me my wish and make a route for Keas.

I'm glad I chose to save Mr. Polkadot Pants for last because I am warming up to him even more on Lionel's route. He's shipping the two of us so much he's such a dork and I love it. Much more than he was on Ryo's or Ren's routes.
