Title: Overpriced otome games in the iTunes store :O
Post by: alannorr on February 12, 2013, 05:24:01 AM
so i typed pirates in love and then i discovered this other otome game called pirates1 from the company GignoSystem Japan, Inc.
i thought the art for it was amazingly well, i mean omg the characters look hot on all of their games!
but here's the catch, you either pay $11.99, $13.99, or $23.99
what's even worse is that the games they have are only in japanese, that's right japanese only
so basically you're paying for a game you can't understand (if you don't know japanese that is) and they're extremely overpriced!
i'm just wishing they were cheap and in english LOL

I saw that game before but didn't buy it cause I don't understand Jap. About overpriced, I'm not so sure. I bought once an otome game for €22. At first, I didn't wanna buy it, thought it was too expensive. Then I read the good review of the game, purchased it, then played it. After that, I didn't regret that I had to pay for such a price. Overpriced or well worthed are different word to me. Overpriced to me means if I pay more for the game but I get less in return (talking about the storyline, the art, the length of the game, etc). I can't give comment on this game since I never play the prologue. And I dunno if all characters are included in 1 set when you pay for that price. If so, then it isn't overpriced. For example, Be My Princess from Voltage (not GREE version), we have to pay €3,59 for a character. So,in total €21,54 for 6 characters.

i get where you are going at, yeah if the storyline and everything is really good then it'd be worth the money
how i see overpriced is whether the money just doesn't match to how much the game is worth :O
but anyways the game looks interesting so i may have an urge of buying it, but that's only when i understand japanese :o
